the knot with his long time girlfriend 27-year-old Priscilla Chan in a private ceremony at his California home.

The surprising move came just a day after Facebook went public through one of the largest initial public offerings and its shares began trading on the Nasdaq.

Zuckerberg wrote about the big event in his life on his Facebook timeline, with a status update that read, “Married Priscilla Chan” on May 19.

The ceremony took place in Zuckerberg’s backyard at his Palo Alto home in California before fewer than 100 guests on Saturday. An accompanying picture shows a smiling Zuckerberg dressed in a simple dark blue suit, white shirt and wearing a tie. Chan is in an elegant sleeveless laced white wedding gown with a veil falling over her shoulders. A string of bulbs are hung in the background which is Zuckerberg’s backyard.

The picture got over 131,000 likes within the first 30 minutes of Zuckerberg posting the status update.

The couple met at Harvard and have been together for more than nine years. Chan’s Facebook page also had the updated relationship status with the message “married to Mark Zuckerberg.”

The marriage capped an extremely eventful week for the couple. Zuckerberg celebrated his 28th birthday on Monday, May 14. Days later Facebook, which was founded by Zuckerberg in 2004 in his Harvard dorm, became went public through an IPO that pegged the value of the world’s most popular social network site at 104 billion dollars.

The same week Chan graduated from the University of California, San Francisco. Chan studied medicine and is now a pediatrician. On her graduation day, Zuckerberg had written on his Facebook page, “I am so proud of you Dr Chan.”

The material was promoting a competition on Facebook to post images of Islam’s Prophet Muhammad, said Mohammad Yaseen, chairman of the Pakistan Telecommunication’s Authority. Many Muslims regard depictions of the prophet, even favorable ones, as blasphemous.“We have been negotiating with them until last night, but they did not agree to remove the stuff, so we had to block it,” said Mr. Yaseen.

Instructions to block the site came from Pakistan’s Ministry of Information Technology, said Mr. Yaseen.

A visit to any of these websites redirects visitors to a landing page that said, “Access to this site has been blocked as per Court Orders”.

Girls Cheering After Results

New Delhi: Girls again proved that the topper seats of ICSE & ISC boards are for them only. On 19th May 2012, Saturday, the result of ICSE Board and ISC Board was out and all the above ranks are of girls.

In the total number of students appeared, 99.15 % girls are cleared and 98.19% boys are cleared the Indian Certificate for Secondary Education (ICSE) exam. On the other hand, 98.35% girls and 96.36% boys cleared the Indian School Certificate (ISC) exam.

Madhavi Singh from Carmel School in Dhanbad and Shalaka Kulkarni from Sulochana Devi Singhania School in Thane jointly topped the Class 10 exam, scoring 98.80% marks while Rohan Sampat of Dubai Model High School is first in Class 12 exams, scoring 99.50% marks.

This year, 1,32,282 students appeared in the Class 10 exam, while 59,356 candidates appeared in Class 12 exam.

Facebook IPO goes public, Zuckerberg rang the Nasdaq bell

Mark Zuckerberg, wearing his trademark hooded sweatshirt, remotely rang the bell to open the Nasdaq Friday, marking a historic share offering for Facebook that confirms the growing importance of the social network giant.

Amid a crowd at Facebook’s California headquarters, Zuckerberg and hundreds of employees cheered as the 28-year-old co-founder rang the bell via video for the New York-based Nasdaq.

Facebook shares were to start trading later in the day in the richest-ever initial public offering for a technology firm.

Zuckerberg wore a dark hoodie, unfazed by criticism from some on Wall Street about his casual attire. And most of those on hand for the ceremony were wearing similar sweatshirts or T-shirts.

Amitabh Bacchan In Department

Story: Top officials like the Home Minister, Home Secretary and the Director General of Police form a unique entity called ‘The Department’ to tackle the grave issue of underworld crime in their own way by crossing the bounds of rules laid by the police department. Thus, begins the fight between Mahadev Bhosale (Sanjay Dutt) and Shiv Narayan (Rana Daggubati) to emerge as the most powerful figure. While Mahadev, who is a corrupt police officer heads the team- ‘The Department’, is very clear about his goals; Shiv, an honest but suspended police officer joins Mahadev’s team. Shiv is initially unaware of what he is getting into and he eventually gets greedy for power. These two policemen become puppets in the hands of Sarjerao Gaikwad (Amitabh Bachchan), an ex-underworld don and a corrupt politician.

Star Cast:  Amitabh Bachchan is the saving grace and induces life in the film with his power-packed performance. Sanjay Dutt and Rana Daggubati deliver a lukewarm performance. Madhu Shalini and Abhimanyu look extremely uncomfortable in their respective roles. Vijay Raaz performs well but gets wasted in half-sketched character. Deepak Tijori and Laxmi Manchu are just mere fillers.

Music/ Dialogues/ Cinematography/Editing: Ram Gopal Varma proves yet again about his lack of taste in music. A shameful remix of the legendary song ‘Thodi Si Jo Pee Li Hai’ from Namak Halal and a vulgar item song featured on Nathalia Kaur leaves the music in the ‘C’ grade category. Dialogues, as mentioned lose essence due to poor direction; few however, are impressive as they somehow explain the theme of the film. Cinematography is miserable as it loses focus most of the times in the name of creativity. Editing doesn’t help either.

Ups and downs: Department somehow, survives on the strong shoulders of Amitabh Bachchan, few but meaningful dialogues post interval and a good concept are the strong points. Poor script, bad screenplay, meaningless direction along with cinematography and music make Department a disaster.

On the whole, Department falls flat at almost every department; so, needless to say, it’s a flick which can easily be given a miss.

New Delhi: The result of most awaited exam of the year is out on Friday, 18th May 2012. IIT – JEE is always been in the category of the most difficult exams in India.

An amount of 5,07,634 students appeared in the exam and some of them will be getting the best IIT collages in India. The Indian Institute Of Technology exam was conducted on April 8th 2012. The most applicants were from Kanpur and then Madras. The exam was conducted in 1,067 centers across India. The total number of seats available in the 15 IIT’s in India is 9,600. Now counselling will be starting soon.

According to the reports by the media, Arpit Aggarwal from Delhi topped the exam and ranked 1st in the IIT – JEE exam. There are also Bijoy Kocjhar from Chandigarh and Nishant Kaushik from Bhilai are 2nd and 3rd respectively.

SRK When Match Is Going On

Mumbai: Bollywood superstar and the team owner of Kolkata Knight Rider Shah Rukh Khan or SRK did a shameful mistake which is leading him to court now and he is be giving no excuses to this.

According to MCA treasurer, Ravi Savant, Shah Rukh Khan had an altercation with the security and officials of the association after the Kolkata Knight Riders had swamped Mumbai Indians in the grounds.

The MCA officials have lodged a police complaint against SRK for his misbehavior at the stadium and decided to ban him for life from entering the premises at the moment.

In a press conference after the incident, he said “I was not drunk, I had gone to pick up my children. The officials were extremely aggressive. I just got angry but I left after that. I said a few things in anger. I was one and they were 20-25 officials and they were extremely rude. When I tried to answer them, they hid behind others. They should apologise to me. They were extremely high-handed. There was nothing illegal, I was not on the pitch. I know the rules.”

We hope everything will be clear as soon as possible. Currently all we know is that SRK will be going to the courts for legal terms.
